If you are reading this, then you probably already have a pre-conceived notion of what kind of person I am. You’d better throw that out. I write this blog to women, for the benefit of men. I’m an egalitarian; I’m not a feminist or a feminist-enabler. I respect women, but only as much as I respect men. I will respect you, but only as much as you respect me. I’m not into the traditional manly things like watching professional sports or doing fantasy leagues, but don’t think that I’m some half-gay hermaphrodite. I enjoy high-performance automobiles, exquisite cuisine, back-to-the-basics fashion and intelligent conversation. I’m assertive, but understanding. If you’ve been counting, I’ve used “I” or a contraction of “I” 14 times. Yes. I may be a little full of myself. Who isn’t? My interests in cooking, fashion, and intelligent conversation usually lands me in a group of college-educated females when placed in a social setting. (I don’t want to talk about the Lakers or the Dodgers!) This has allowed me to date many beautiful and intelligent women. While in the company of so many women, I’ve come to realize that they hold many misconceptions on how men think. And so my blog is born. Enjoy.

  1. Women might find the last two intriguing.

  2. Yes, I’ve had positive experiences with my culinary interests. However, I don’t shell out my money to take a lady to dinner. I believe in equality! But I will gladly cook a fine dinner for a lady friend. =)

  3. oooh so you like F1? sweet.

  4. I love your blog.

It’s not always apparent that men do think. Thanks for reminding us all. :)

  5. Much appreciated!

  6. I love your blog, too. :)

  7. Thank you Mon.

  8. Does anyone from Los Angeles really talk about the Dodgers though?

It seems to me that you have hit upon some solid keys - you might have just as much if not more to offer men, than to women - as in, “how do I make myself more interesting to those beautiful, intelligent women?”

You’ve got an interesting blog here. Well done, sir.

  9. Mo:

Los Angeles loves their Dodgers. Especially our adamant Hispanic community. They are definitely the die-hard Dodger Fans of LA.

As for me? I don’t like sports, but I grew up in the Bay Area. Go Giants!

  10. Don’t stress about using “I” 14 times…..after all,this is your “about me” page.
You and I are very similar men. I would write virtually the same paragraph as you.
However,I’ve one major difference in that I have been married thirty (30) years to a beautiful woman whom I love with all my heart. She’s a wonderful person and it still amazes me how much she does not know (read:understand) about men!
This blog of yours is a great Idea and I heartily applaud your effort ! Now,how will we get women to participate
    “en mass”?

Thank you very much. Its wonderful to hear that I share views with someone who has been happily married for 30 years. Cheers!

  13. You also do realize that most women are confused about themselves too and blame it on men?

  14. That may be true, but I would rather not make the assumption that women are confused about themselves.

However, I know from personal experience that there are women who have misconceptions on what men think.
